When you use Adox Foods we collect: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and landmark, order history, wallet, points and transaction history, your loyalty tier, the payment receipts you upload, your choice about receiving offers, device information, and usage data.
We use your data to process and deliver your orders, check and confirm your payments, send order confirmations and receipts, send you a welcome email, calculate and credit cashback and rewards, send notifications about your account and orders, improve the platform, and prevent fraud.
Adox Foods does not take card payments, and we never see or store your card details. You pay by bank transfer through your own bank, and then upload a receipt of the transfer so we can confirm it. Your receipt may show details such as your name, your bank, and the transaction amount and reference, so please upload only the transfer receipt and nothing else. Receipts are kept in private storage. Only authorised members of our team who confirm payments can open them. We keep receipts for as long as we need them to confirm payments, resolve disputes, and keep our records, and we delete them when they are no longer needed or as the law requires.
We share limited data with the service providers that help us run Adox Foods: Supabase (our database, login and file storage), Vercel (website hosting), Resend (to send order and account emails, such as receipts and login codes), Brevo (to send our welcome email and, if you chose to receive them, offers and updates), and Firebase from Google (to send push notifications to your device if you turn them on). Our own team also receives internal alerts about new orders, by email or messaging app, which include details such as the order number, items, amount and delivery location. Some of these providers store or process data outside Nigeria. Each has its own privacy and security commitments. We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not share your data with advertisers.
Every new customer receives a welcome email after verifying their email address. We only send offers, promotions and updates if you ticked the box to receive them when you signed up. You can stop these emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any of them, or by contacting us. Order and account emails, such as receipts and login codes, are not marketing and will still be sent.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is deleted within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it or need to keep records of payments and orders.
You have the right to access your personal data, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your account and data, and opt out of marketing communications. To exercise these rights, contact us through the in-app support system or at support@adoxfoods.com. We handle personal data in line with Nigerian data protection law, and you may also raise a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), Row Level Security on our database, private storage for payment receipts, and secure authentication. However, no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We use essential cookies only, for authentication and session management. We also use your device's local storage to remember things like the items in your cart. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
